Who can get a loan under shaikshanik abhyas scheme ?
Must have passed Std-12 from any school in the state of Gujarat with 60% or more.Loans will be eligible for a course approved by the relevant council of the course.
The applicant should be from Gujarat and should be from non-reserved category.
Proof of admission to the relevant course will have to be submitted.
The interest rate on this loan for collage education will be 4% simple interest per annum. The simple interest will be calculated according to the amount of loan given per year.
The widow and orphan beneficiary will be given first priority for shaikshanik sahaya yojana.
Loans for those who drop out in the middle of the study or do not get the degree within the stipulated time limit will be eligible for simultaneous recovery and will not be eligible for interest assistance.
The annual income limit of the family for educational loan schemes of the state should be 6.00 lakh or less.

For lending of the total amount 7.50 lakhs or less amount of the entire course loan, one and a half times the amount of the loan amount will have to be borne by the beneficiary on his own or relative’s property.
The total amount of the entire course loan is more then 7.50 lakhs then beneficiary will have to be mortgaged in favor of one’s own or any other relative’s real estate (Milkat).
Each borrower will have to give five post dated checks signed in favor of the corporation.
Repayment of Shaikshanik sahay yojana loan :
In case of total loan up to Rs. 5.00 lakh, the loan amount will have to be repaid in equal monthly installments in 5 (five) years after 1year of completion of the study with interest.
In case of loan above Rs. 5.00 lakh, the loan amount has to be repaid with interest in equal monthly installments in 6 (six) years after 1 year of completion of study.
When you are repaying the loan the interest will be credited first.
The borrower can repay the loan even before the fixed time limit.

The application process of the education loan can be done online through the gueedc portal. The Portal to apply online for shaikshanik loan is known as gueedc.apphost.in.
To Apply For the loan first of all open gueedc.gujarat.gov.in
Now Find Schemes in the menu bar and go on Education Schemes option.
Then Scroll Down and hit on APPLY NOW Button.
The Portal gueedc.apphost.in will open now.
Here Go on New User Registration and do gueedc registration.
Now Enter the asked details and then submit the details.
Then Go on Already Register Go Here For Login Option.
Now Enter asked Username and password then login.
After that you will see below given screen. Go on the Apply Now Button of scheme you want to apply for.
After that the form will be opened. You have to enter the details and go on “Save and Upload photo & signature” button.
Now go on further and upload your passport sized picture and signature.
Now you will see list of documents you have to submit.
Go on Choose file and upload the necessary documents.
Now save the application.
After saving, you have to confirm the application. Check on the details you provided.
