● If the Maharashtra government assumes that government officials are late for duty in their offices, it will soon be a thing of the past. In an attempt to prosecute latecomers, the government has decided to punish employees, including senior government officials, for not appearing on duty on time. It has been decided to cut the Earned Leave of such latecomers.
● According to a new circular issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) headed by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, one day's casual leave will be deducted if an employee is late for duty of three or more days in a month.
● Earned if the employee will be late for nine or more day Leave will be deducted on a daily basis. If the employee's casual leave is not in balance, his paid leave will be deducted. His salary will be deducted if all his rights leave is completed. The circular, which taught the employees a lesson of punctuality, further said that if the employee is late for one and a half hours more, he will have to sit longer after the office closes.
