Lockdown extended 2 weeks from May 4 to May 17

The Prime Minister had discussions with the Home Minister, Railway Minister, Finance Minister. The meeting was attended by senior officials including CDS General Bipin Rawat. The lockdown has now been extended to 2 weeks in the country. Then now this will be the third phase lockdown. The country has extended the lockdown for 2 weeks from May 4 to May 17. However, some concessions will be given in the green zone.

In view of the current Corona crisis in the country and the control of Corona in the country due to the lockdown, the Home Department has ordered the Government of India to extend the lockdown till May 4, 2020, under the Disaster Management Act 2005.

In addition, the Home Department has issued guidelines for the regulation of various activities during this time. These guidelines are determined by the Red Zone, Orange Zone, and Green Zone classified in the country. Districts that fall into the Orange and Green Zones are given a lot of exemptions.
